SMPS Indiana offers different levels of engagement. Whether you are ready to lead, interested in contributing as a committee member, or available to help with one defined task, there is a way to become more involved, build relationships, and support the chapter.

Programs & Education Committees

The Program Committee and Education Committee meet together once a month and are responsible for planning the chapter's monthly programs. They ensure quality training and continuing education for all levels of marketing and business development professionals while focusing on the 6 Domains of Practice. Duties include brainstorming for topics, scheduling speakers, and arranging venue details for programs throughout the year. 
Additionally, the committee is responsible for planning and providing additional learning opportunities through the Mentor/Protege Program the CPSM Study Group.

Membership Committee

The membership committee is responsible for maintaining the current membership roster and tracking attendance, cultivating and connecting new members, and providing opportunities for current members to get more involved with the organization.
Activities include welcoming and orienting new members, organizing new-member event, providing networking opportunities, member recognition, and collecting feedback for the purpose of attracting and retaining members.

Communications Committee

This committee is responsible for promoting the chapter and communicating its activities.  Responsibilities include managing the organization’s social media accounts, taking event photos, producing our INFORM newsletter, maintaining the Indiana SMPS website, promoting sponsors, and designing ads, postcards, emails, and handouts. With so much competition for people’s time and attention, their challenge is to make the

Sponsorship Committee

Without our sponsors, SMPS Indiana could not pursue our mission to advocate for, educate, and connect leaders in the building industry.  Responsibilities include outreach to prospective and existing sponsors, as well as tracking and developing sponsorship packages.  Participating on this committee is a great way to build a network and contribute to the financial strength of the chapter.  This committee does not meet monthly and is great for those in business development or with limited time to volunteer.
